This Liebherr Liebherr R 924 Litronic serves as a carrier for Leonhard rotary telescopic boom (most likely a “S8000”) that is used to clean out blast furnances. I.e., still hot slash and iron residues, that remain after tapping the furnance, are removed with a ripper hook.
Due to the high versatility of the boom, this equipment is also suitable for other tasks (also see additional pictures).

The Conard model features a quick connection system and comes with a ripper hook, hydraulic hammer and a ditch cleaning bucket.
